My name is Colin and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  I’ve also lived in Calgary (my true hometown just south of Edmonton) and Leeds, England.  I hate the cold so Edmonton seems like a bit of an odd destination for me.  It’s amazing where you end up sometimes.

My background is mostly in computing sciences including the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research and Metaheuristics.

I consider myself a fairly liberal individual, don’t subscribe to any particular religious doctrine, enjoying hanging out with my friends and hope to have some interesting discussions in my blog.  I have hobbies like playing guitar, computer stuff in general and killing off brain cells with good company.  I’m a bit new to this so I suspect my ramblings will be somewhat shambolic to start with but that’s ok as, hey, this is my site and I can do what I like
